Legacies have made significant contributions to The Rotary Club of Golders Green over the years, thus making a lasting impact on the communities we live in. By remembering the Rotary Club in your Will you can make a positive and lasting contribution to the future of the work that we do here, continuing your support of Rotary so that future generations in communities can benefit.
Legacies provide not only an operating safety net in lean years but also mean we can look sensibly at expanding our projects and the scope and coverage of the work undertaken.
Should you wish to make a gift in your Will, there are various options:
-
You may want to make a pecuniary gift. This involves leaving a specific amount of money, or a particular item (such as a work of art, a piece of property, or shares).
-
Alternatively, you may choose to make a residuary gift. The residue is the remaining value of your estate after all bequests have been met, and administration costs settled. It is possible to leave the total residue, or a share of the residue as a gift to the Club. Because the Club is a charity, any bequest which you make to us is exempt from Inheritance Tax (S23(1) Inheritance Act 1984), therefore any potential tax to be paid out of your estate can be reduced or even eliminated entirely. We recommend that you consult a solicitor when making your Will.
If you are considering leaving a gift to the The Rotary Club of Golders Green in your Will, we would be happy to discuss this with you.
We deeply appreciate the generosity of those who have left us legacies.
Thank You ! |
